Open Google Docs in your browser
Click the three-line menu in the top left
Select Settings
Tap Theme
Choose Dark
On mobile, open the Google Docs app
Tap the menu icon
Go to Settings
Turn on Dark theme
If Dark theme is unavailable, enable your device’s system dark mode
Refresh Google Docs after changing system theme
