Empty the bladder completely
Rinse it with warm water
Add a small amount of mild dish soap
Fill it partially with warm water and shake gently
Scrub the interior with a CamelBak cleaning brush if needed
Rinse thoroughly until no soap remains
Clean the hose and bite valve with warm soapy water
Use a tube brush for the hose if available
Rinse the hose and bite valve well
Drain all water from the bladder, hose, and valve
Dry the bladder completely with the opening wide
Hang it upside down or use a drying rack
Store it unsealed until fully dry
For deep cleaning, use a baking soda or cleaning tablet solution
Avoid bleach unless the manufacturer specifically allows it
