Open the Facebook app or website
Go to Settings & privacy
Select Settings
Go to Accounts Center
Select Personal details
Choose Account ownership and control
Select Deactivation or deletion
Choose the Facebook account
Select Deactivate account
Enter your password if prompted
Confirm deactivation
Log back in anytime to reactivate the account
