Preheat the iron to the setting recommended for the patch or fabric
Make sure the fabric is clean and completely dry
Place the patch exactly where you want it
Cover the patch with a thin cloth or parchment paper
Press the iron firmly onto the patch
Hold it in place for the recommended time
Move the iron slowly over the entire patch if needed
Flip the garment inside out if instructed and press the back side
Let the patch cool completely
Check the edges to make sure they are fully attached
Repeat the heat press if any edges lift
Wash the item gently after the patch is fully set
