Run the mower for a few minutes to warm the oil
Turn off the engine and disconnect the spark plug wire
Place the mower on a flat, level surface
Position an oil drain pan under the oil drain plug or oil fill opening
Remove the oil drain plug if your mower has one
Tilt the mower carefully toward the drain side if needed
Let the oil drain completely into the pan
Reinstall and tighten the drain plug
Wipe away any spilled oil
Refill with the correct type and amount of oil
Reconnect the spark plug wire
Dispose of the used oil properly at a recycling center or collection site
