Use a plastic bottle
Remove the label and rinse the bottle
Make a launcher or use a safe bottle rocket launcher
Fill the bottle about one-third with water
Insert a cork or stopper that fits tightly
Attach the bottle to the launcher upside down
Move to an open outdoor area
Point the rocket away from people, animals, and buildings
Pressurize the bottle with a bicycle pump if using an air-pressure launcher
Stand back and release the launcher
Wear eye protection
Use adult supervision if needed
Do not use glass bottles
Do not aim at anyone
Do not use flammable fuels
