Crush or finely chop the almonds
Place the crushed almonds in the jar
Pour the alcohol over the almonds until fully covered
Seal the jar tightly
Store the jar in a cool, dark place
Shake the jar once daily for 4 to 6 weeks
Strain the liquid through a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth
Discard the almond solids
Pour the strained extract into a clean bottle
Store the almond extract in a cool, dark place
