Locate the “Learn” or “Smart” button on the garage door opener motor unit
Press and release the “Learn” or “Smart” button
Within 30 seconds, press and hold the button on the remote you want to program
Release the remote button when the opener light flashes or you hear a click
Test the remote to confirm it works
Repeat the programming steps for additional remotes if needed
To erase all remote codes, press and hold the “Learn” button until the indicator light turns off
Reprogram each remote after clearing the memory
To reprogram a keypad, press the “Learn” button, then enter the new PIN on the keypad and press Enter
To reprogram a wall control, follow the model-specific instructions for the control unit
If the opener has a yellow, purple, red/orange, or green “Learn” button, use the same process with the correct compatible remote
If programming fails, replace the remote battery and try again
If programming still fails, check the opener model for compatible remote and keypad instructions
