How to Ride a Motocross Bike?

Wear full protective gear: helmet, goggles, gloves, boots, chest protector, knee and elbow protection

Inspect the bike before riding: tires, brakes, throttle, chain, fuel, controls, and suspension

Start on a closed track or open practice area

Mount the bike and sit balanced with both feet on the ground

Learn the controls: clutch, throttle, front brake, rear brake, gear shifter, kill switch

Start the engine in neutral

Hold the clutch in and shift into first gear

Ease out the clutch slowly while applying gentle throttle

Keep your elbows up and eyes forward

Stand on the pegs when riding over rough terrain

Use your knees to grip the bike and stay centered

Shift body weight forward on climbs and backward on descents

Brake smoothly with both brakes, using more front brake for stopping power

Shift gears as speed increases, matching throttle and clutch control

Turn by looking through the corner and leaning the bike with body position

Practice throttle control to avoid sudden acceleration

Practice clutch control to prevent stalling

Practice braking, cornering, and balance at low speed first

Ride within your skill level

Land jumps with the bike level and knees bent

Keep both wheels aligned when accelerating and landing

Stay relaxed and avoid stiff arms

Shut off the bike with the kill switch when finished

Maintain the bike regularly after riding
