Open Gmail
In the search bar, type `is:unread`
Press Enter
To see unread emails in a specific folder, type `in:inbox is:unread`
To see unread emails from a specific sender, type `from:sender@example.com is:unread`
To mark unread emails more visible, go to Settings and enable the unread message indicator if available
On mobile, open Gmail and use the search bar with `is:unread`
Check the Primary, Social, and Promotions tabs for unread messages
Use the left menu and select All Mail, then search `is:unread`
