Find the medicine’s taxable value before GST
Calculate GST amount = Taxable value × GST rate
Add the GST amount to the taxable value to get the final price
If CGST and SGST apply, split the GST amount equally between them
If IGST applies, charge the full GST rate as one amount
For discounted medicines, calculate GST on the price after discount
For composite billing, calculate GST separately for each taxable medicine line item
For exempt medicines, GST amount = 0
For MRP-based billing, verify whether GST is included in the MRP before calculating any additional tax
