Gather clay, water, a small board, sculpting tools, and a reference image
Knead the clay until it becomes soft and smooth
Shape a rounded base for the body
Form the torso and attach it securely to the base
Make a large round head and attach it to the torso
Shape the trunk and attach it to the face
Create two ears and fix them on both sides of the head
Make the eyes, eyebrows, and tusks with small clay pieces
Shape four arms and attach them evenly to the body
Form hands and place objects like a modak, lotus, or axe if desired
Add legs and feet, keeping the figure balanced
Smooth all joints with wet fingers or a little water
Add details to the crown, jewelry, and clothing
Let the clay idol dry completely
Paint the idol after it dries, if desired
Apply a protective coat if needed
