How to Make Falafel Recipe?

1 cup dried chickpeas

1 small onion, chopped

3 cloves garlic

1/2 cup fresh parsley

1/2 cup fresh cilantro

1 tsp ground cumin

1 tsp ground coriander

1/2 tsp baking soda

1 tsp salt

1/2 tsp black pepper

2 tbsp flour or chickpea flour

Oil for frying

Soak chickpeas in water for 12 to 24 hours

Drain chickpeas well

Add chickpeas, onion, garlic, parsley, cilantro, cumin, coriander, baking soda, salt, and black pepper to a food processor

Pulse until the mixture is coarse and holds together

Mix in flour if needed

Shape mixture into small balls or patties

Heat oil in a deep pan over medium heat

Fry falafel until golden brown on all sides

Remove and drain on paper towels

Serve hot with pita, salad, or tahini sauce
