Turn off and disconnect the AirPods
Remove the AirPods from the charging case
Wipe the exterior with a dry, lint-free cloth
Use a soft, dry, clean toothbrush to gently brush away earwax from the speaker mesh
Use a dry cotton swab to lift wax from edges and crevices
Use a soft, dry, anti-static brush if available
For stubborn wax, lightly dampen a lint-free cloth with 70% isopropyl alcohol and clean only the exterior surfaces
Avoid getting any liquid into the speaker openings
Do not use sharp objects, pins, or metal tools
Do not use excessive force on the mesh
Let the AirPods dry completely before using or placing them in the case
Clean the charging case contacts with a dry cotton swab or soft brush
Repeat regularly to prevent buildup
