Measure the roof and calculate the amount of metal roofing, underlayment, flashing, fasteners, and trim needed
Check local building codes and obtain any required permits
Remove old roofing material if necessary
Inspect the roof deck for damage and replace any rotten or weak sections
Install drip edge along the eaves and rakes
Lay roofing underlayment over the entire roof deck
Install ice and water shield in valleys, eaves, and other required areas
Snap chalk lines to keep panels straight and aligned
Install closure strips where required
Place the first metal panel squarely at the roof edge
Fasten the panel according to the manufacturer’s instructions
Overlap and fasten each additional panel properly
Continue installing panels across the roof
Cut panels as needed for edges, valleys, vents, and penetrations
Install flashing around chimneys, skylights, vents, and walls
Install ridge cap and closure strips at the peak
Seal all required seams, fasteners, and flashing points
Inspect the entire roof for proper alignment and secure attachment
Clean up debris and remove all loose metal shavings and scraps
