Turn off the TV and DVD player
Locate the output ports on the DVD player
Locate the input ports on the TV
Connect the cables:
HDMI cable from DVD player HDMI out to TV HDMI in
Or composite cables: yellow to video, red and white to audio
Or component cables if supported
Match each cable color to the correct port
Plug both devices into power
Turn on the TV and DVD player
Select the correct input source on the TV
Insert a DVD and test playback
