Let the wax cool and harden
Gently scrape off excess wax with your fingers or a comb
Apply ice to harden stubborn wax
Rub a small amount of oil, conditioner, or petroleum jelly into the wax
Work the product through the hair with your fingers
Comb out the softened wax
Wash hair with warm water and shampoo
Repeat shampooing if needed
Use a clarifying shampoo for residue
Rinse thoroughly
Dry and check for remaining wax
Repeat the oil-and-shampoo process if necessary
