Fold back the shirt cuff so the buttonholes line up
Hold the cufflink with the decorative side facing out
Insert the cufflink through both aligned buttonholes
Secure the backing or toggle so it stays in place
Repeat on the other cuff
Adjust the cuffs so they sit flat and snug
