Unplug the washer from the power outlet
Wait 1 minute
Plug the washer back in
Open and close the lid 6 times within 12 seconds
For front-load models, press and hold the Start/Pause button for 3 seconds
For control-panel reset, press and hold the Power button for 3 seconds
Select a new cycle and press Start
If the washer still does not reset, unplug it for 10 minutes and try again
