Turn the vehicle off and restart it
Check that the traction control button is not turned off
Drive a short distance to see if the light clears
Inspect tire pressure and adjust all tires to the correct specification
Check for mismatched tire sizes or excessive tire wear
Make sure the ABS light is not on
Disconnect the battery for a few minutes if appropriate for your vehicle
Reconnect the battery and restart the vehicle
Scan for diagnostic trouble codes with an OBD-II scanner
Repair any stored ABS or traction control faults
Clear the codes with the scanner
If the light remains on, have the vehicle inspected by a mechanic
