Start with a square sheet of paper, colored side down if it has one
Fold the paper in half diagonally to make a triangle
Unfold it
Fold the paper in half diagonally the other way
Unfold it
Fold the paper in half horizontally
Unfold it
Fold the paper in half vertically
Unfold it
Bring the top and bottom corners toward the center to form a diamond shape
Fold the right side of the diamond inward to the center line
Fold the left side of the diamond inward to the center line
Fold the top point of the diamond downward
Fold the lower side corners upward to round the heart shape
Fold the top outer corners inward to soften the top curves
Turn the model over
Fold the top edges slightly inward if needed to shape the heart
Flatten all creases firmly
Adjust the curves and point until the heart shape looks even
