2 cups leftover cooked rice
2 cups milk
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 cup raisins, optional
1 tablespoon butter
Combine the leftover rice, milk, sugar, and salt in a saucepan
Cook over medium heat, stirring often, until thick and creamy, about 15 to 20 minutes
Stir in the butter, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and raisins if using
Cook for 2 to 3 more minutes
Remove from heat and let cool slightly
Serve warm or chilled
