Unplug the waffle iron and let it cool completely
Remove any loose crumbs with a dry brush or paper towel
Wipe the plates with a damp, soft cloth or sponge
Use a soft brush or toothbrush to clean grooves and corners
For stuck-on batter, apply a little warm water to soften it, then wipe gently
Avoid soaking the waffle iron or submerging it in water
Clean the exterior with a damp cloth
Dry all parts thoroughly with a clean towel
Let the waffle iron air-dry fully before storing
If the plates are removable, wash them according to the manufacturer’s instructions
