Craft or find a beacon
Place the beacon on top of a pyramid made of iron, gold, diamond, emerald, or netherite blocks
Build at least a 3×3 base layer of full blocks
Make sure there is no block covering the beacon’s beam straight above it
Use a valid pyramid size: 3×3, 5×5, 7×7, or 9×9 base layers
Add more layers to increase the beacon’s power
Right-click or use the beacon to open its interface
Insert one iron ingot, gold ingot, diamond, emerald, or netherite ingot
Select a primary power from the beacon menu
If the pyramid is large enough, select a secondary power
Confirm the selection to activate the beacon
Stay within the beacon’s range to receive the effect
Keep the pyramid intact for the beacon to stay active
