Open a crafting table
Place 6 matching wooden planks in the bottom two rows
Use any wood type you want
Collect the trapdoors from the result slot
For iron trapdoors, place 4 iron ingots in a 2×2 square
Place the trapdoor on the side of a block to attach it
Right-click or use the interact button to open or close it
