How To Cook Crab?

Rinse the crab under cold water

Remove the apron and lift the top shell

Clean out the gills and internal parts

Break the crab into sections if needed

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil

Add optional seasonings like bay leaves, lemon, or Old Bay

Place the crab into the boiling water

Cover the pot and cook until the shell turns bright red

Cook for about 10 to 20 minutes depending on size

Remove the crab with tongs

Drain and let cool slightly before serving

Serve with melted butter, lemon, or dipping sauce
