Preheat the grill to medium-high heat
Peel back the husks if using fresh corn and remove the silk
Brush the corn lightly with oil or melted butter
Season with salt and pepper if desired
Place the corn directly on the grill or wrap it in foil
Turn the corn every 2 to 3 minutes
Grill until lightly charred and tender, about 10 to 15 minutes
Remove from the grill
Add more butter, salt, or seasonings if desired
Serve immediately
