Fill a large pot with water and bring it to a boil
Add salt to the boiling water
Add the spaghetti and stir to prevent sticking
Cook until al dente, following the package time
Reserve a little pasta water
Drain the spaghetti
Heat or prepare your sauce
Add the spaghetti to the sauce and toss to coat
Add reserved pasta water if needed
Serve immediately
