Remove the EpiPen from its carrier tube
Hold it in your fist with the orange tip pointing downward
Remove the blue safety cap
Place the orange tip against the outer middle of the thigh
You may inject through clothing if needed
Push firmly until it clicks
Hold it in place for 3 seconds
Remove the EpiPen from the thigh
Massage the injection area for 10 seconds
Call emergency services immediately
Use a second EpiPen if symptoms continue or return and a second dose is prescribed
Seek emergency medical care after use
