Turn on your Roku TV or Roku streaming device
If your remote has a battery door, open it and insert the batteries correctly (or replace them)
Press and hold the Pairing button (or Home button) on the remote for several seconds until the pairing light flashes
Wait for the pairing process to complete (pairing may take up to 30 seconds)
Follow any on-screen instructions that appear on the TV (if prompted)
If pairing doesn’t start automatically, go to your Roku screen: Settings > Remotes & devices > Pair a new device
Choose your remote type when prompted (Roku Voice Remote, Roku TV Remote, or Universal Remote)
When prompted, press and hold the pairing button on the remote again until the TV confirms pairing
If prompted with a screen message to enter a code, use the remote to enter the code shown on the TV
If the remote uses a USB pairing dongle (some models), plug the dongle into the Roku device and press the pairing button on the remote when the TV prompts you
If pairing still fails, remove and reinsert the batteries, then repeat pairing, or try the pairing steps from the on-screen menu again
