Enter your old address, new address, move date, and contact information
Verify your identity if prompted
Pay the required identity verification fee if applicable
Submit the request and save the confirmation number
Visit your local post office and complete a Change of Address form in person if needed
Update your address directly with important senders, such as banks, employers, and subscriptions
Set up mail forwarding and check that it is active
Notify USPS again if your move date or address changes
