Use a clean cotton swab to remove any softened debris around the stud
Rinse the area with clean warm water
Pat dry with a clean paper towel or gauze
Clean the nose stud twice daily
Avoid twisting, pulling, or removing the stud unless advised by a professional
Avoid alcohol, hydrogen peroxide, and harsh soaps
Replace pillowcases and towels regularly
Seek professional help if you notice redness, swelling, pus, severe pain, or fever
