Remove loose hair from the brush
Use a comb, scissors, or tweezers to lift out trapped hair
Fill a bowl with warm water and a few drops of shampoo or dish soap
Soak the brush for 5 to 10 minutes if the material allows
Scrub the bristles and base with an old toothbrush
Clean between the bristles and around the handle
Rinse the brush thoroughly with clean water
Shake off excess water
Dry the brush with a towel
Let the brush air-dry completely with bristles facing down
Clean the brush regularly to prevent buildup
