Remove all hair from the brush
Fill a bowl with warm water and a few drops of shampoo or mild soap
Soak the brush for 10 to 15 minutes
Scrub the bristles and base with an old toothbrush
Rinse the brush with clean water
Shake off excess water
Dry the brush with a towel
Let the brush air dry completely before using it again
