How To Build A Raised Garden Bed?

Choose a level location with at least 6–8 hours of sunlight

Decide the bed size and shape

Gather materials such as untreated wood, screws, drill, saw, level, and soil

Measure and mark the bed outline on the ground

Clear grass, weeds, rocks, and debris from the area

Cut lumber to the desired lengths

Assemble the frame by attaching the boards at the corners

Check that the frame is square and level

Place the frame in the chosen location

Add cardboard or landscape fabric at the bottom if desired

Fill the bed with a mix of topsoil, compost, and other growing medium

Water the soil to help it settle

Add more soil if needed after settling

Plant seeds or transplants

Mulch the surface if desired

Maintain by watering, weeding, and replenishing soil as needed
