Keep a safe distance and do not try to handle it.
Move people and pets away from the area.
Close doors or block access to contain the snake if possible without approaching it.
Call local animal control, wildlife removal, or emergency services if there is immediate danger.
If someone is bitten, call emergency services right away.
Keep the bitten person still and calm.
Remove rings, watches, or tight clothing near the bite.
Do not cut the wound, suck the venom, apply ice, or use a tourniquet.
If possible, note the snake’s appearance from a safe distance for responders.
