Add hot broth or water
Remove from heat, cover, and let sit until liquid is absorbed
Fluff the couscous with a fork
Mix in cooked vegetables, chickpeas, or protein of choice
Add salt, pepper, and spices to taste
Stir in lemon juice and fresh herbs
Serve warm or at room temperature
