How To Make French Fries At Home?

Choose starchy potatoes like Russet or Yukon Gold

Wash and peel the potatoes if desired

Cut the potatoes into even sticks

Soak the cut potatoes in cold water for 30 minutes to 2 hours

Drain and dry the potatoes thoroughly

Heat oil in a deep pan or fryer to 325°F to 350°F

Fry the potatoes in batches until soft and lightly cooked

Remove and drain the fries on paper towels

Increase the oil temperature to 375°F

Fry the potatoes again until golden and crispy

Remove and drain the fries on paper towels

Season immediately with salt and other desired seasonings

Serve hot
