List each course and its letter grade
Convert each letter grade to grade points using your school’s scale
Note the credit hours for each course
Multiply each course’s grade points by its credit hours
Add all the grade points earned
Add all the credit hours attempted
Divide total grade points by total credit hours
Use the result as your GPA
For weighted GPA, use weighted grade points instead of regular grade points
For semester GPA, calculate using only that semester’s courses
For cumulative GPA, include all courses in your record
