Preheat the air fryer to 380°F to 400°F
Wash and peel the potatoes if desired
Cut the potatoes into even fry-shaped strips
Soak the cut potatoes in cold water for 20 to 30 minutes
Drain and pat the potatoes completely dry
Toss the potatoes with a small amount of oil
Add salt and any desired seasonings
Place the fries in a single layer in the air fryer basket
Cook for 15 to 20 minutes
Shake the basket halfway through cooking
Cook longer if needed until golden and crispy
Remove the fries and season again if desired
Serve immediately
