Wash and fully detangle your hair
Blow-dry or stretch your hair if needed
Part hair into sections
Clip away unused sections
Apply moisturizer or leave-in conditioner
Apply edge control or styling gel if desired
Divide one section into three strands
Cross the right strand over the middle strand
Cross the left strand over the new middle strand
Keep adding small pieces of hair to each strand as you braid
Braid tightly and evenly down the section
Continue until the braid reaches the ends
Secure the end with a small elastic or by braiding to the end
Repeat on all sections
Dip braid ends in hot water if using synthetic hair
Trim any uneven ends if needed
Apply scalp oil or moisturizer after finishing
