Brush hair to remove tangles
Gather a section of hair at the crown
Divide the section into three equal strands
Cross the right strand over the middle strand
Cross the left strand over the middle strand
Add a small section of hair from the right side to the right strand
Cross the right strand over the middle strand
Add a small section of hair from the left side to the left strand
Cross the left strand over the middle strand
Continue alternating sides and adding hair as you braid downward
Keep the braid tight and even
Braid the remaining hair normally once all hair is added
Secure the end with a hair tie
Gently adjust the braid if needed
