Set the buret upright and clamp it securely
Fill the buret with solution above the zero mark
Remove any air bubbles from the tip
Lower the liquid level to near the starting point
Read the bottom of the meniscus at eye level
Use the scale on the buret to estimate to the nearest 0.01 mL
Record the initial reading
After dispensing, read the bottom of the meniscus again at eye level
Record the final reading
Subtract the initial reading from the final reading to find the volume delivered
