Let the glue dry completely
Scrape off excess glue gently with a dull knife or spoon
Place the fabric in the freezer for 1 to 2 hours if possible
Flex the fabric to crack brittle glue
Apply acetone-based nail polish remover to a hidden area first to test for damage
Dab acetone onto the glue with a cotton swab
Blot the softened glue with a clean cloth
Repeat acetone application as needed
Wash the fabric according to its care label
Air-dry the fabric and check for remaining glue before using heat
Use white vinegar if acetone is not safe for the fabric
Soak the area in warm soapy water after treatment
Gently rub the spot with a soft brush or cloth
Avoid using heat until the glue is fully removed
