Unplug the heated blanket and disconnect the controller and power cord
Check the care label and follow the manufacturer’s washing instructions
Spot clean small stains with a damp cloth and mild detergent
If machine washing is allowed, use cold or lukewarm water and a gentle cycle
Use a mild detergent and avoid bleach or fabric softener
Wash the blanket alone or with similar lightweight items
Do not wring, twist, or aggressively scrub the blanket
Air dry flat or hang to dry only if the care label allows it
Do not use a dryer unless the manufacturer specifically says it is safe
Make sure the blanket is completely dry before reconnecting or using it
Inspect the cord and controller for damage before each use
Store the blanket loosely folded in a dry place when not in use
