Back up important files to an external drive or cloud storage
Plug in the power adapter
Turn on the laptop
Immediately press and hold the power button for 10–15 seconds to turn it off
Repeat the on/off cycle 2–3 times until the “Preparing Automatic Repair” or “Choose an option” screen appears
Select Troubleshoot
Select Reset this PC
Choose Remove everything
Select Just remove your files (if shown) or Fully clean the drive (if shown)
Select Reset
Wait for the reset to complete and the laptop to restart
Follow the on-screen setup steps to create your user account and reinstall settings
If prompted for a BitLocker key, enter it
If the laptop does not reach the recovery screen, restart and press Esc repeatedly, then press F11 for Recovery (when prompted)
