How To Find GPA?

List all completed courses and their letter grades (or numeric grades, if applicable).

Convert each letter grade to grade points using your school’s GPA scale.

Multiply each course’s grade points by the number of credits for that course.

Add all the credit-weighted grade-point values together.

Add up the total number of credits attempted (or completed, per your school’s policy).

Divide the total credit-weighted grade points by the total credits to get the GPA.

If your GPA uses only certain courses (e.g., exclude pass/fail, withdrawals, or non-graded courses), include only the eligible courses in the calculations.

For semester GPA, use only courses taken in that term.

For cumulative GPA, use all eligible courses taken to date.
