Use a high-quality Mini HDMI to HDMI cable
Set the Canon camera to HDMI output mode
Turn off on-screen displays in the camera menu
Disable info overlays and grid lines
Set the camera to clean HDMI or external display output if available
Use manual exposure settings for stable output
Disable auto power save and auto shutoff
Remove battery indicators and focus boxes from display settings
Update the camera firmware if needed
Connect the camera to a monitor or recorder that supports clean HDMI
Test output in live view mode
Check that recording settings do not add overlays to the HDMI signal
Use a capture device that accepts the camera’s HDMI resolution and frame rate
Restart the camera after changing HDMI settings
