Turn off the Nikon Coolpix camera

Open the memory card folder on your computer
Copy the photo files to your computer
Safely eject the memory card
Reinsert the memory card into the camera
Connect the camera to your computer with a USB cable
Turn on the camera
Wait for the computer to detect the camera
Open the camera folder or import photos using your computer’s photo app
Select the pictures you want to transfer
Copy or import the pictures to your computer
Safely disconnect the camera
Use Nikon software if available
Install the software on your computer
Connect the camera or card reader
Follow the import prompts to transfer the pictures
Check that the memory card is not locked
Make sure the camera battery is charged
Confirm the computer has the correct drivers if the camera is not detected
