Apply a cold compress or ice wrapped in cloth for 10–15 minutes at a time during the first 24 hours
Use a warm compress after the first 24 hours to help circulation
Gently massage the area around the bruise, not directly on it if it hurts
Cover it with makeup: color corrector, concealer, and setting powder
Wear clothing that covers the area, such as a scarf, collar, turtleneck, or high-neck top
Use a bandage only if it looks natural and does not irritate the skin
Avoid further irritation, rubbing, or scratching the area
Give it time to heal naturally
Seek medical advice if it is unusually painful, swollen, or not improving
